Bio

I previously graduated with a BA, but joined the army as way to pay for a higher education & serve my country. I also wanted to see the world and gain experience for teaching. During active duty I went to BCT at Fort Sill, and they told us we would see action, but I didn't believe it. Later, I went to AIT and deployed to Iraq in 2011. After returning, our unit attended NTC at Fort Irwin, and we had numerous competitions. While off duty, I volunteered, exercised, and took advantage of the army's excellent networking and resume-building opportunities. After ETS, I earned my MA from Concordia University in Irvine, using the GI Education Bill. During the pandemic, I also had an on-line tutoring business while working. The internet makes this easy, but you have to make sure there is no conflict-of-interest with present, or potential future employers. (You can see my 'LinkedIn' page at http://linkedin.com/in/danielgrove2.) Currently, I am an Education Specialist and Substitute, who just completed a rigorous, Teacher Residency training program. I was awarded my Credential in Special Education, in July 2024.
