I arrived at Camp Pendleton with a battalion of new Marines reporting to Supply Battalion. The Major and Sgt. Maj. held formation and walked each and every one of us eyeballing from head to toe. On that day 12 of us were singled out and told to report to nights. So this is where the story begins!!!!

Recruit
A recruit in basic Sept 1983. Drill instructor Garabedian, who would later help me in my career by helping me into Recruiting school, was the meanest, nastiest most professional Marine I have ever met. To this day I remember the bends and thrusts, push ups ect.. before breakfast, lunch and dinner that he made me do every single day until I graduated.
