After serving six years as a medic, during which time I was deployed for nearly eighteen months, I opted to not re-enlist in order to achieve my educational goals. I have since attained a BAS in Sociology, an MSW, and am an LMSW providing mental health treatment for veterans and first responders for a non-profit in North Texas devoted to combating suicide among these populations.
