Submarine Sonar Technician
Served as coordinator between the ship and third party private contractors to repair and maintain operational Sonar equipment, topside maintenance, and replacement/repair of the ship’s towing equipment.
Operated submarine Sonar equipment for weapons control systems, navigation, and tracking. Repaired and maintained submarine sonar oceanographic and auxiliary sonar equipment. Performed preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on mission-critical components to maintain ship’s operational readiness.
Assisted in shutdown, modernization, and subsequent reinstallation of an upgraded model of multi-million dollar sonar system during a Depot modernization period of the ship from 2004 through 2006.

Deck Division Leading Petty officer
Hand selected to directly teach and lead up five subordinates over a period of a year to maintain the ship’s decks, towing, and lifesaving equipment, and the procurement of cleaning materials, paints, and toiletries for a crew of over 150 individuals.
Completely overhauled and finished maintenance on over 200 items of Submarine Escape and Rescue equipment, valued at 1.6 million dollars. Upon inspection for the ship’s at-sea certification, the head inspector reported that the Submarine Escape and Rescue equipment program was “one of the best he had ever seen”.
Acted as coordinator between the military and third party civilian maintenance contractors to replace and repair towing equipment, order paints, and place work orders for topside maintenance.
