Hospital Corpsman
While deployed in Afghanistan, my everyday duties consisted of taking vital signs, EKG/ECG, exam room preparation, blood and urine specimen collection, medication administration and education, wound/incision care, inventory/organizing medical department equipment and supplies, administering intramuscular, intradermal and subcutaneous injections and monitoring fluid intake/output. Whenever I had spare time, I would always assist the trauma teams with urgent/difficult traumas.
