Phase Team Memeber
I was put directly into phase crew upon checking in. I didn't mind it the crew of guys I worked with and PKL that shared our room were some the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Became a shop supervisor for a brief period and then my time was up. I enjoyed it. The Motto " GIVE A SHIT" has made me ay more attention to details and doing things right no matter what.

Crrosion Control/ Flightline Mechanic
I came over to the Unit from HMM (T) 164 to get a deployment in after 2 years of fighting medical boards to stay in. I had back surgery at Balboa hospital San Diego one month after picking up Lance Corporal. I checked into the unit was on night crew for about 3 months then got put in Corrosion Control. I deployed in May 2010 on the LHA 5 the USS Peleliu saw many countries but would not wish ship life on anyone. and stayed with the unit we stood down as a Ch46e unit and it became a V-22 or Osprey Unit.

Flightline Mechanic
Spent times doing various shifts as flight line a PFC when I checked in and LCPL when I left. In the meantime I was usually on a swing shift to help with testing of the ch-46. Then in 2008 went to WTI in Yuma AZ as tool room and left earlier than others that went out there as students or instructors. Upon coming back I rotated in to a TAD for first MEF under a group called Advisor Training Group(ATG) on Del Mar next to the amphibious school for AMTRAKs. We would try to do PT every Monday, Wednesday and Friday which was a huge change from the air wing PT on your own time mentality I had become very accustomed to. I lost some the best Marines I ever worked with while there. Some alcohol some to murder and some to drugs. Semper FI and rest in peace to them
