Filled E-7 slot as an E-5. Raised division Missile Maintenance Readiness to >92%, exceeding Army standards. Worked with units and the supply chain to expedite parts and repair of missile systems. Learned military logistics to help in the process. Earned Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal during this period.

Diagnosed and repaired missile guidance and support equipment electronics and electro-optics to the sub-assembly, circuit board and component level. When arrived at Ft. Stewart, the LCSS Electronics van had been down since received upon unit activation in 1977. Earned spot working in van after troubleshooting and fixing the problem. Army standard was 88% van operational rate, we maintained it at >98% OR rate until I left unit. Was put in for Meritorius Service Medal for work at unit.
