Two overseas tours. One (26 months) in FRG during the Cold War including doing fence line walk on border duty. Return to CONUS Assigned to R Trp 4/3 ACR Ft. Bliss TX. 1 Oct Regiment lands in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield. Was in country 178 days before returning to the world and being 47 days short. I popped white and Charlie Miked my way to being a Civvie again.
