Served a total of 27 years in the Marine Corps, Active and Reserve. Retired in 2010. I spent the last 12 years of my career in Quantico in Operations at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory. As Battalion Gunner, responsible for managing ammunition and ranges for the battalion, force protection for all company patrol bases and combat outposts, and management of Battalion reset training on a monthly basis. Coordinated with Regimental and MEF personnel. Also served as a Watch Officer in the Combat Operations Center, responsible for the coordination of all assets in the Battalion Area of Operations.

Served as a Reserve Augmentee to Project Metropolis group. Supported pre-deployment training for 1st and 2nd Marine Division ground units for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Acted as Site Manager and OPFOR manager for Basic Urban Skills Training (BUST). Acted as Site Manager and Observer/controller during ACOG/RCO training and evaluation in Guam in 2002; Acted as Site Manager and Observer/Controller coordinator for 10 months in 2004 at Matilda Village as we trained 20 battalions (over 20,000 Marines) who were returning to Iraq.
