Bio

I am the mother to 5 amazing children and engaged to marry my soul-mate. I am currently, as of January 2013, in my first semester of the nursing program at MSTC and loving it. I spent 7.8 years Serving my country as a Marine and now I intend on continuing that service in a civil fashion as a Nurse. I have MS, so each day presents itself with a Challenge for me, but I simply smile and thank God for the opportunity to learn a new Adaptation skill.

Military Experiences

Aug 2001 - Mar 2002
PSD-18
S6 Communications Clerk
Provided assistance to the S6 SNCIOC, Performed training and helped to oversee daily office operations. I attended important meetings, assisted the Commanding officer with Data Communication and or Raido communication problems he had as well as the Executive officer. Provided assistance to the S6 OIC as requested and provided clerical work for all S6 personnel. I am extremely familiar with power-point presentations, Microsoft office, Excel, and entry level Html. While at this command I was under the instruction of a Data communications SNCOIC who taught me some networking skills that I have taken with me.
2nd Medical
Training NCO
I kept a concise and accurate training record of each and every Marine that was currently assigned to our platoon. This consisted of their physical standards meaning their height and weight requirements; their physical training record and standards, meaning their bi-yearly physical fitness testing results; and I kept track of everyone's rifle range requirements, rotations, and needs. Aside from the physical aspects of Marine Training there is the Academic portion that is also covered by my job description. It is my job to encourage the Marines under my care to pursue a higher level of education both within the Marine Corps Educational System, and within the Civilian College Systems. Part of my duties included keeping record of courses taken and all that entails. I performed this admirably
