Joined the Navy in 1987 as a Radioman, didn't pan out as I thought, switched ratings to Boatswain's Mate in 1990 and quickly made BM3 in 1991 (first increment), made BM2 the following year along with qualifying ESWS upon leaving my first ship (USS Frank Cable AS-40) in 1992. Later stationed at NAVSTA Charleston SC Port Services (oil spill/tugboat/dispatcher) HD in 1996. Worked for AT&T since.
