I would have to say with my 19 years of experience, the best assignments are being a First Sergeant and a Drill Sergeant. Being a Drill Sergeant made me a better NCO, along with the opportunity to change a civilian into a Soldier. Also being a First Sergeant is a great experience and the last duty were I can still influence and have direct contact with Soldiers!
