Repair of AN/BRN3 Satellite Navigation System, Loran C, and Time and Frequency Standard aboard 598 to 642 Class Fleet Ballistic Missile submarines as well as accompany them on multi day sea trials prior to deployment

Designated as Mobile Sea Range coordinator to modify the Mod 3 NTDS software to accommodate Mobile Sea Range tests aboard the USS Sterrett CG-30 in a large-scale missile defense exercise out of San Diego. This was the initial testing to verify that our missile destroyers needed a much more advanced system leading to the AEGIS Combat missile system
