Bio

Navy veteran with 10 years of service, primarily as a crash and salvage crewman aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, achieving ABH2 and earning the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Now studying Mechanical Engineering at Embry-Riddle, I’m committed to supporting veterans in their civilian transitions. Proud husband, father, and lifelong advocate for giving back.

Military Experiences

Nov 2012 - Jun 2016
Aviation Boatswain's Mate (ABH) (Aircraft Handling)
At Chambers Field, I served as an emergency arresting gear operator and maintenance supervisor, ensuring the safe recovery of aircraft during emergencies. I oversaw routine maintenance and troubleshooting for arresting gear systems, ensuring operational readiness. Additionally, I led a team responsible for maintaining airfield safety standards, coordinating with flight operations to minimize risks. I was also responsible for the training and mentoring of junior sailors, guiding them through critical maintenance procedures. My leadership contributed to zero operational downtime and the seamless recovery of multiple aircraft during my tenure.

USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69)
Aviation Boatswain's Mate (ABH) (Aircraft Handling)
As an Aviation Boatswain's Mate (ABH) on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower from 2007 to 2012, I was responsible for the movement and safe handling of aircraft on the flight deck during operations. I oversaw launches and recoveries, ensuring safety and efficiency in high-pressure environments. I served on the In-port Security Team (2008-2009) as a rover and overwatch. In 2009, I was promoted to tractor driver and earned a Flag Letter of Commendation. In 2010, I was promoted to ABH3 and became a key member of the Crash and Salvage crew, earning the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in 2012 for salvaging an EA-6B with malfunctioning landing gear. I was promoted to ABH2 prior to my departure, leading the team and maintaining operational excellence.
