From CT [some FL]. Did lots of stuff HS/College. AFROTC at UCONN, but resigned just before commissioning [no diploma], then joined Marines. GED EE degree at PI. PDS's = San Diego and Okinawa [supposed to be DaNang], but orders chg'd. Hired by Aetna. Degree in Math, then MBA. Had war bride but.., then 45 yrs before my 2nd wife got FTD [home cared 6 yrs]. 2 daughters/3 GK's. Marine Corps League. MFH

AFROTC, Cadet Major
In charge of half UCONN Flights. Resigned 6 weeks before commissioning - when Prof canc'd 8th sem course = no diploma. [Had talked with an undiploma'd engr, who got lousy assignments.]
Wanted to get into an aircraft worse way, but couldn't pass eye requirements. Later discovered I could have been a WEO in the backseat of an F4 [next to chopters, most shot down craft in Nam] .. oh well.
Guess how much fun I had going to Parris Island - 23yo, 2 yrs officer training [became the DI office scribe]. Avoided all FBI searches as Army draft dodger .. my AF LtCol had me drafted at midnight, but joined the Marines at 8am.
Special boot camp at Maxwell AFB, 400 selected college soph from across US. Had brkfst with a 3star,2star, and an asst Sec of Defense! Also, got fam flt in T33 back, and stick
