This was my duty station in the Fleet Marine Force after Security Force duty. I was assigned to the 81mm mortar platoon and trained as a Forward Observer. During field operations, I was detached to Lima Co. 3/3. After obtaining the rank of Sergeant, I then worked as the 81mm mortar representative in the battalion Fire Support Center.

Marine Corps Security Forces- Corporal of the Guard
This was my first permanent duty station after Boot Camp, School of Infantry, and Security Force School. I started out as a basic security guard standing post in watch towers, vehicle patrol, and guarding the main gate into the storage site. Participated in convoy security and multiple START treaty inspections working with Russian nationals. At the end of my two-year duty, I was one of the Corporals of the Guard, supervising up to 20 other Marines ensuring the safeguard of over 60% of our nation's nuclear arsenal.
