I joined in 1956 and was assigned to the USS Antietam CV36 went to the Suez War, returned to Norfolk to the USS Coral Sea CV43 became a Shell Back, served on the USS MIDWAY CV41, went to the USS Alamo USS LSD33. Went to Thailand as MAAG for 2 yrs, spent 2yrs at Chase Field ready for Bay of Pigs deployment, sent to Keflavik, Iceland for 2 yrs sent to McGuire AF Base for Honorable Discharge.

Supply Petty Officer
Was able to establish one of the first Clothing and Small Stores where enlisted from all branches could shop and try on clothing similiar to a civilian clothing store which made the Stars and Stripes. Received and accommodation from the Iclandic Government from both Parties for excellent repor and service with their govenment.

In charge of Commissary for military and civilians. Had no military uniforms no ID are dog tags only civiliand clothes and passport with visa. Was assigned a vehicle with attache plates. Mixed up world at that time.
