Gunner's Mate (GM)
Twin 50 gunner on Mrk II PBR in Vietnam near Cambodian border. Did 258 Combat Patrols and 32 Firefights confirmed. Lost 6 shipmates who are located on the WALL in Washington D.C. I have several Service-Connected disabilities and still reach out to families of brother's lost during my time in Vietnam. Visited many grave sites and spoke at a few Memorial Day Ceremonies over the years. 'That We Never Forget'

Vietnam War
I did two CVS-20 'West Pac' tours to Vietnam 'Yankee Station' from 1966 to 1968, aboard USS Bennington. during the two West-Pac crossed the equator 4 times, becoming a Shellback and getting to work over Pollywogs a few times. In January 1969 I volunteered for Navy Special Warfare PBR gun boats. Did training & SERE for a few months then served In-Country Vietnam from May 1969 to May 1970. Very action packed year, lost too many good shipmates for sure!
