Bio
Rey attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York as a PhD student while on his IBM technical sabbatical. He concurrently served as IBM Visiting Project Manager for RPI's Center for Manufacturing Productivity & Technology Transfer (CMPTT). Rey received his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
Rey worked as a full-time employee for several top Fortune-50 multi-national companies (IBM Corporation in Poughkeepsie, NY and in Austin, TX; Dell Computers in Round Rock, TX; LSI Logic in Wichita, KS; and Intel Corporation in Columbia, SC) both as an individual contributor and as an engineering manager. Rey’s field experience includes manufacturing engineering, test equipment engineering, robotics and automation, systems engineering, logic design, design for testability (DFT), software engineering, test strategies, enterprise storage systems (RAID), and post silicon validation engineering.
Rey enjoys watching movies, playing occasional golf, and keeping abreast with leading edge technologies. In addition to being an adjunct faculty in Midlands Technical College, Rey is also an Associate Faculty at the University of Phoenix. Rey has been teaching College Mathematics for over five years. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
