Joined Navy against my father's wishes so had to wait until I was 21 to enlist--females needed parental permission to join prior to that age at that time. Boot camp in Banbridge, Maryland, July 15 to August 15, 1958. Hospital Corp School in Great Lakes, IL, start date Sept 15,1958 and accelerated studies, graduating in early January 1960 due to need for male classmates for Marine Corps.

Hospital Corp WAVE. Dependants' ward and Labor, Delivery and Nursery duties. Also attend procedures in Surgical Clinic, later moved to X-Ray Department. Transfer September 1962 to Oaknoll, Naval Hospital. X-Ray Department until discharge 1964. While there became charge of enlisted personnel in Department and instructor for Radiolgy class.
