Bio 

Gunnery Sergeant Jackson was born on October 16, 1977 in Tacoma, WA. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 2001 then reported to recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego June 2002. Private First Class Jackson graduated recruit training in Aug 2002. Upon completion, PFC Jackson reported to School of Infantry, Marine Combat Training in September 2002. Upon graduation in October 2002, PFC Jackson reported to Basic Preservation, Packing and Packaging school at Camp Johnson Jacksonville, NC. After graduation in November 2002, PFC Jackson received the primary MOS of 3052 and reported to his first duty station aboard Camp Kinser, Okinawa Japan in December 2002. In December 2002, PFC Jackson was attached to 3rd Material Readiness Battalion, Material Readiness Company abroad Camp Kinser, Okinawa Japan. Private First Class Jackson was assigned to the Wooden Fabrication/Shipping Section within the Preservation, Packaging, and Packing Platoon. March 2003, PFC Jackson was promoted to Lance Corporal. In July 2003, Lance Corporal Jackson then deployed to Busan, Korea where he was attached to CSSG-34 for a Maritime Prepositioning Force Operation (MPF). He was the Non-Commissioned in Charge of Preservation, Packaging, and Packing. Upon LCpl Jackson’s return he was then moved to the Fiscal Section where he was promoted to the rank of Corporal on 1 November 2003. In March 2005, was reassigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 7, Twenty-nine Palms California. Corporal Jackson served as Non-Commissioned officer in charge of Preservation, Packaging and Packing Platoon. Cpl Jackson was then promoted to the rank of Sergeant on 1 September 2005. In March 2006, Sergeant Jackson deployed to Al Asad, Iraq with Combat Logistics Battalion 7. Where he served as the Class IV Supply Chief, in which he managed and issued all lumber and construction materials for AO Denver when required. Sergeant Jackson was then awarded his first Navy Achievement Medal for his diligent accomplishments. In March 2007, Sergeant Jackson graduated basic recruiter school. He was then sent to serve as a canvassing recruiter with Recruiting Station San Francisco, recruiting sub-station Fairfield and Contra Costa, permanent contact station Vallejo California. Sergeant Jackson was then promoted to Staff Sergeant on 1 February 2009. In March 2010, Staff Sergeant Jackson attached to 1st Supply Battalion, Headquarters and Service Company. SSgt Jackson was assigned as Platoon Sergeant and various operation positions of Preservation, Packaging and Packing Platoon. Staff Sergeant Jackson simultaneously held multiple collateral duty billets such as Equal Opportunity Representative (EO), Command Financial Specialist (CFS), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner. In May 2013, SSgt Jackson attached to Retrograde Operation Group (R4OG) in support of OEF 13.2 from 16 September 13 to 08 December 13 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. SSgt received his second Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star for superior performance of his duties during that period. In May 2015, SSgt Jackson reported to the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy Camp Pendleton, California where he served as a Faculty Advisor for Sergeant’s Course. Managing hundreds of students every 4 weeks, while managing multiple collateral duty billets to include mess night coordination, physical training instructor, and supply management. Where is completed multiple instructor courses such as: Train the Trainer (T3), Basic instructor (BIC), Senior Instructor and Bob Pike. SSgt Jackson was hand selected by the academy staff as Faculty Advisor of the quarter and sent to serve as Faculty Advisors Course mentor in January 2018. His professional example allowed him to progress through the Enlisted Professional Military Education Instructor program achieving Master Faculty during his tour. In July 2018, SSgt Jackson reported to 1st Supply Battalion, Headquarters and Service Company. SSgt Jackson served as Interim Operations Chief, and SNCOIC of the Hazardous Material and Safety section of Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking (PPP&M) Platoon. Staff Sergeant Jackson was recognized in May 2019 for The 2018 National Institute of Packaging Handling and Logistics Engineers (NIPHLE) James Russell Memorial Award for lifetime achievement in Packaging by his leaders and peer for exemplary service. Staff Sergeant Jackson simultaneously held multiple collateral duty billets such as Director of 1st Supply Battalion Lance Corporal Seminars, Battalion Safety Officer/Manager, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner. Staff Sergeant Jackson was then remedial promoted to Gunnery Sergeant on 3 December 2019. In February 2020, GySgt Jackson reported to the 3D Supply Bn, CLR-35, MMDC Camp Kinser, Okinawa where he currently serves as a Staff Non-noncommissioned officer in charge within Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking section of the MMDC Platoon. His personal decorations include: Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 2 Gold Star in lieu of third award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 Gold Star in lieu of third award, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon with 3 bronze stars, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal with 3 bronze stars, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 3 bronze stars, Recruiting Ribbon and NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan.
