Lived in Patchogue Long Island most of my life until retirement in 2017 when I moved to the Berkshires. I continue to hug trees, lean extremely left, and abhor military action anywhere for any reason. And I will never forget the words of Edwin Starr is his song "War". He was a Viet Nam combat Vet and when he returned he spoke his piece.

Infantry Mechanized. Ran around VN northern I Corps from west of Con Thien to the Gulf and from Quang Tri to the mountains. We are there to "pacify" the perceived enemy. It turned out that as Pogo said so many years earlier, "I have seen the enemy and he is us".
