I graduated from East High School, Wichita, KS, in 1954. Enlisted in the Army January 20, 1955 on the Buddy System. There was 3 of us who had been friends since about 1943. We wanted to be photographers but settled for the Army School of Photo Lithograph, Ft. Belvoir Virginia. We went to Ft Bliss, TX for Basic Training.
After our training we were classified as a Process Photographer. I think our mos was 833.10. Two of us was sent to Ft. Presidio San Francisco, CA. The other Buddy was sent to Ft. Riley, KS. So much for the Buddy System.
