Provider
When hurricane Sandy hit, I helped to stand up a medical needs shelter at Cape Henlopen High School at Cape Henlopen, in Lewes, DE. Acting as a family nurse practitioner, I was able to delegate, help set up the flow of patients, and work with the other provider to see patients within our scope, make referrals to social services, and administer patients' home medications as needed.

RPOC
At enlisted boot camp, I was chosen as the RPOC, Recruit Chief Petty Officer, to lead my division, 828 into the final weeks of training. It was a great honor to be given the unit sword to keep safe and hold proudly as we marched across the base.
