Enlisted USMC January 1954.Boot Camp Platoon 403 San Diego. First duty station Korea,with HQ 7th Marine Regt wire section just above Munson, in 1954. Stationed at MCB Camp Lejeune,NC. Discharged and enlisted USAF. Served tours Turkey, V Tuy Hoa Vietnam, Osan, Korea and Okinawa. Last duty was on AFCS IG Team at RGAB,MO. While on IG Team visited many bases and Phillipines, Japan,Greece,Spain Grgmany

AFCS IG Inspector
Assisted in multiple communication units worldwide for conformance and readiness. Also tasked with inspecting National Guard Comm Units. Beside stateside units we also Inspected units in Athens, Greece: Spain, South and north Germany on three visits, Philipine Islands, and Japan, At the end of this tour I retired and received my 3rd Air Force Commendation Medal

Quality Control Technical Inspector
Initially assigned as NCOIC Dial Central Office but moved to QC position because no wire persons assigned. Performed QC inspections on multiple maintenance shops. Also visited IE Shima to our site for assistance. Group Cmdr assigned me to supervise upgrade to base cmdr telephone system and do survey of telephone system to see what was needed or could be removed. Received 2nd Air Force Commendation medal
