Light Machine Gun Team
Trained and competed in matches with other divisions in Europe. Competed in Central Treaty Organization international matches in Turkey in 1969. Trained 3rd Infantry Division gunners for the CENTO match in England in 1970. Conducted shooting classes and ran familiarization exercises when m16s were introduced in Europe in 1970.

mech recon platoon
driver on recon track, also m60 on recon track. Went on manuevers at Grafenwhoer Training area in summer of 68. Recon platoon Sgt was Alfred C Myers, a really cool guy. We had a 12 mile hike that year; he did it in under 2 hours. Lowell D (Dean) Sword was HHC Armorer. John Lewis, Nick Infurna, Robert Belcher, Farmer, Castro Pettingill, Colby (left for OCS), Shanks, Davis from "lovely Atlanta", Jack Wayne Hulsey, Shadle, Farmer, and others were all in Recon.
