Helped to start new ground site in Thailand. Only organization on the base that did not report to base commander at the time. Used down-link equipment.

Japan

Airborne position as linguist. Flew 66 missions from Kadena and another 60 missions during 6 TDYs from Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam. 6 Air Medal, 1700+ hours of flight time. Brought wife and child to Okinawa, had second child while there.

Germany

First ground site as a linguist. Moved from E-2 to E-4 while on site and on list for E-5. Worked several positions in Voice Section, not all related to language. Purchased first car while in Germany - Volvo 123GT direct from factory in Sweden. Brought it back to the States.
