I retired Nov. 11, 2013. I worked almost 45 years in manufacturing as a lathe operator and Supervisor for the last 24 years. I enjoy fishing, golf, bowling, rock collecting, arrowhead collecting, having fun with the family. I was raised in the Houston, Tx. area, Texan thru and thru. I spend time in both California and the Philippines. I have traveled all over thje Worlld. I love my family .

Airborne Radio Repairman
I did Basic Training at Lackland AFB, 11-24-65 and 2nd part of Basic Training at Kessler AFB, ending about 11-66. I studied Basic Electonics and Radio Repair. I was stationed at Lackland AFB, Reese AFB, Tan Son Knut AFB and Dyess AFB. I spent a year in Vietnam, got there just in time for the BIG Tet Offensive and the May Offensive. I repaired the ARC-34 Radios in the aircraft and any other component that was related to that radio. I was promoted to E-4, 2 1/2 months after returning to the states. I enjoyed every bit of my time in the US Air Force.

Tan Son Knut Air Base
I was a 30150, Airborne Radio Repairman, I repaired Arc-34 radios in the Aircraft. I would get a work order, go to the aircraft, climb into the cockpit and check the radio to see if the workorder was correct on the description of problem. If correct, I removed the radio, repaired, replaced it into the aircraft, did a radio check & signed off.
