Entertainment Specialist
Third United States Army Soldier Show (TUSA). I Sang and danced on stage, similar to the USO except all participants were soldiers. Traveled a 7 state circuit in our personal bus. Our troop was about 35 strong. My solo was " Chicago" sung Judy Garland style. My friend Sheila Boudon was also my roommate. She and I were responsible for laying and installing electrical lines and cables for the speaker trees on our sets. Practices and dry runs were made once our set was erected. Six weeks to two months was designated for learning songs, rehearsals, costume placement, building the sets, choreography and two months was given for performance and travel time. The entire time we were TDY until we returned to our permanent party duty stations.
