Bio
Joined on 14 August 1972; took Basic at Ft. McClellan, AL. Went to Fort Lee for AIT. Glad I selected Supply! Spent Christmas '72 at home, then shopped out in my '62 Rambler for Fort Ord. Unforch I only spent about ten months total there. Was sent back East to a second AIT (Warehouse and Motor Supply) and ended up at APG, MD as a Sp 4. ETS 14 August '75, and joined MD National Guard.

I learned a lot from the crusty old supply sergeants at Fort Ord! And as acting jack sergeant, I had duties just like any buck sergeant. I had qualified on firearms (another story!) and was tapped to pull armed pay guard -- the first female soldier (at least at Fort Ord) do do so.
