Bio 

Fourth-generation California native, born in Hollywood. Lived in Long Beach, Claremont, and Brentwood as a child. In 1961 after the 8th grade we moved to Ojai, where I completed High School. Three days after graduation I began my Air Force career. After basic training at Lackland, I went to Keesler, Ms. for Electronics training. I had 9 years overseas and 14 years stateside assignments. After 23 years we ( My Korean Wife, our Son, and our Daugther) Returned to Ojai, from Spangdahlem, Ge.

Analog (AN/APN-72) to Digital (AN/ARN-101) INS installed in F-4E and F-4G. Upgrades to F-4E for HARM Capability (1553 to Digital Converter Box). Awarded 9 level AFAC in June 1987. Assigned as Support Equipment Logistics Manager (Ready Team), for the integration of F-16 C/D to the Wing in December 1986. In November 1987 all CRS Shops were moved from several buildings to NATO Facility Semi-Hardened-Shelter. During construction, I Identified additions needed for Power and Phones (Intercomm/Data) and got all funded by UASFE/NATO. In early 1988 INS Career Field (AFSC) was combined with Instruments and Auto Pilot career fields for In-Shop workers. Exercise "Salty Demo" First use of Semi-Hardened Facilities. (Underground Sleeping Shelters)

F-4C, D INS/WRCS and RF-4C FLR, Shop and Flightline. In August 1977 after attending FTD class for the FLR. I was transferred from TAC 33 CRS to Systems Command Navigation shop with ALL FLR test benches, FLR maintenance was transferred to Navigation Shop with no training available. Eglin only had 4 RF-4C (1) TERAC, (1) AN/ARN-101 Kit Proof (2) Analog INS. I was days shift leader and worked ALL nav (IFF, ADF, TACAN, ILS) and FLR, Identified and fixed Problems with AN/ARN-101 Kit Proof F4E & RF-4C. As Support Equipment account custodian I re-wrote Table of Allowance for Eglin and Remote site (New Mexico) Navigation Systems Support Equipment.

Had a Honda 350 MC many great road trips in local area and a wet long trip to Sapporo on Fairy boat to get visa for Korean born wife.
