Vietnam War

WestPac (Vietnam) aboard the destroyer USS Frank Knox DDR742. Our mission was exactly the same as our mission was on the Hanson the year before. On returning to the U.S. when our deployment ended, we visited Subic Bay (of course), New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, Pearl Harbor and back to San Diego.

WestPac (Vietnam) aboard the destroyer USS Hanson DD832. Our mission took us from being anchored out in the Saigon River providing gunfire support to fire fights with North Vietnamese artillery off the North Vietnamese coast.
