Bio

I have been serving the Military for over 60 years! I enlisted in 1961 as a Private and retired as an LTC in 2001. I then wrote and published books (UNIFORM GUIDE) for each of the Services. It's been a fulltime job keeping up with all the changes over the years. But as both enlisted and officer I became acutely aware of how important it is to wear our uniforms proudly and correctly.

162 Assault Helicopter Company | Retired

Flew Helicopter Assault missions, carrying troops into and out of Combat zones. Over 30 Air Medals, a couple of Bronze Stars, and a DFC. Shot down a couple of times, as were many of our unit's pilots.

Italy

After Language School (Italian) I served as the Artillery Group Liaison Officer to the Italian army. Since we dealt with nuclear weapons, I also served as the Crypto Officer and was responsible for training appropriate US personnel in the proper handling of the weapons and certain messages concerning their possible release.

Vietnam War

Flying the finest soldiers in the world, into and out of combat. I had a front row seat to the bravery and courage of the American fighting man! They did a job I doubt I could have done. God bless the Infantry!!!
