Bio

Born and raised in Covington, Virginia. Enjoyed outdoors sports and the woods and rivers of Appalachia. Joined the Navy out of highschool. Had 5 children (3 boys and two girls). Of the boys, two became Marines and the youngest joined the Army. The youngest, SGT. Shawn E. Dressler was killed in Bagdad on June 2, 2007. I wrote a book: "Raising Cannon Fodder: Gold Star Dad" about him.
