I'm a widow of a veteran 100% Permanent and Total who passed away from his service-connected illness caused by chemical exposure. He was diagnosed in 1991 and passed away on June 8, 2019. Since I spent most of my time being his caregiver, I was unable to work. I'm now 60 years old homeless although, I'm receiving DIC and will start to earning spousal social security next month. The house had gone thru foreclosure, and I moved in with my son living on his sofa for more than a year. He has since taken a job cross country, leaving me homeless. I've been on the road trying to find a place to live, but everything is out of my price range.
