Basic Training at Naval Training Center San Diego and trained with other men as a group for the team effort. Took placement tests for position fitted for and did not feeling well and scored low. The position filled was a deck hand and was assigned to a ship deployed from San Diego CA.

Reserve meetings every month for continued military training. ICUW unit that work on the Inshore Underwater Warfare Unit to protect the SF entry from underwater attack. Team would meet in Fort Miley in SF and camped out at Bodega Bay and to conduct tests on weekends for exercises. Also went on maneuvers to Long Beach.
