I joined the Texas Army National Guard in 2012 because I had been a technician on Ft. Hood for LRC (then DOL) for seven years and was laid off. I pride myself in the work I put in, be it on the quality of my work at MATES or for every soldier in my unit and try to do the best I can for them as either their Squad Leader or as their Retention NCO. Lead by example and lead from the front.

First assigned unit outside of TRADOC. Helped lead less experienced SM's in my section working on unit equipment during IDT weekends and during AT. Started working withe the primary retention NCO while a specialist, went to training and accepted the responsibilities of that additional duty prior to becoming an NCO. Volunteered for BLC when others that needed it wouldn't/couldn't go.
