PCS'd from Ft. Bragg at the beginning of Desert Shield Deployments. Assigned to a Class III Bulk Platoon( 77F Fueling) / Driver (88M) and trained intensively to become proficient with the now new MOS assignment (Needs of the Army). Took over squad at the onset of Offensive Operations in Desert Storm. Headed many fueling missions requested on a voluntary basis to provide support for Armor units probing the neutral zone and helicopter operations prior to the commencement of the ground war. Sent to the E6 board while in Saudi Arabia and was recommended for promotion to E6.
