Started out doing my job until they caught on that I knew more than the BN motor sgt. sooooo.... They reclassified that E-6 and we never seen him again, on the other hand the TAMMS system worked flawlessly after I untied all his knots. I also spent MANY months out on the DMZ at OP Tennessee, froze my butt off.

Life on the rock were some of the best times of my entire life, got to train in Doughboy City(Berlin) with the snipers from the 1st Berlin Brigade and got to go into East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie before the Wall came down. Got into big trouble with CID coming back through, I was not informed that I wasn't allowed across because of my security clearance. But I was allowed to keep the bass guitar that I'd purchase in the communist block.

Basra Region

Desert Shield/Storm, we were deployed with the 588th Engineers out of Alexandria, LA. The national guard of all folks and NOBODY knew how to utilize us as an asset. Most of my time was spent briefing and education of command of our capabilities and uses.
