Bio
I spent almost 7 years in the Army and was ultimately medically discharged. I was a Petroleum Supply Specialist but primarily worked in Unit Supply, most notably as a Supply Sergeant at the rank of E-4. I just finished all the requirements for a degree in Social and Criminal Justice with a goal of becoming a Juvenile Probation Officer with hopes of turning young lives around.
Military Experiences
Aug 2005 - Oct 2011
Supply Sergeant (S4)
My initial position was as a petroleum supply specialist, but during deployment I was pulled into the supply room where I flourished. I ultimately spent most of the rest of my time in supply; I did spend about a year in human resources where I also did well, however, my skills in supply were required for the disposition of all unit equipment during the unit's deactivation. Interestingly enough, 528th's deactivation coincided almost perfectly with my medical discharge, leading to my nearly 7 years of service being spent in only one unit.
Deployments
(1 year)Oct 2005 - Sep 2006
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
Our Unit ran a refuel point at a small camp in southern Iraq. I convoyed between the camp we were at and the nearby airbase to get supplies for day to day operations and our mission until just past the midway point our mission changed and our unit moved to the airbase to conduct base security.
