Public health inspections of Mess Halls, O and NCO. Clubs, snack bars, and barbershops. Sampled post water distribution system on a continuous basis for pH, residual chlorine and Bac-T .Also inspected post swimming pools for the same parameters on a monthly basis.

Military Quarantine Inspector
Inspected retrograde cargo used in the war effort from SE Asia, upon its return to the US. Ensured cargo was clean and free of bugs and other vermin that could be injurious to the US. Prepared shipping containers (Conex and OTR trailers) for intransit fumigation. Performed ship inspections to ensure ship personnel health certificates/shot records and D Rat certificates were up to date. Inspected cargo holds for evidence of rodent infestations. Directed all ships Captains to maintain rodent proofing measures while in port.

Inspected DOD materiel from SE Asia being retrograded to CONUS. Ensured materiel was properly cleaned and free of agricultural pests injurious to CONUS. Also provided cargo fumigation and inspected ocean going transport vessels for public health significance.
