Was in Vietnam in ‘70 & ‘71. Never worked in my MOS! Went ‘in-country at Cam Rahn Bay and was assigned to 2nd Signal Group at base camp Cu Chi. Next assigned to Hq’s Co. of 2nd Signal Group at Long Bien. Worked out of Long Bien on a CMMI team inspecting signal sites from the central highlands to the delta. Saw a lot of the country while in this capacity. In-country July ‘70 & DEROS in August’ ‘71.

Spec 5 ..... ‘grunt’!
On CMMI team. While at Cu Chi was assigned to prep equipment for push into Cambodia. Actually enjoyed my time in Vietnam mixing with the ‘locals’ and learning the culture.
