The best and worst part of my Navy career was aboard the USS South Carolina. Cross rated from MT to ET. A great move. No tubes on SUBS. From tube theory, HF, UHF Comms, then the NAVMACS Satcom school. Reenlisted for CUDIXS. Served 8 years and another 25 in consumer electronics, then access control, DVR, camera and gate systems
