The best thing I did was to join the Marine Corps. It taught me the discipline and respect I needed in life. I was lucky enough not to deploy, however today I feel humbled to be with men who did.
I had joined the NYPD during the same week I took the Orth into the Corps when I got back I had a job waiting. Again I was lucky. Retired in 1981, and now live in California where I'm self employed.
