Served in the USAF first with SAC at March AFB, 15th Recon Tech Squadron, honing my Photography skills, deployed to Det 3, 601st Photo Flt, Ubon RTAFB, Thailand; Break in Svc, rtnd to the USA Reserves as imagery interpreter, then a Psyop Specialist.
Completed my college and received a teaching certificate. Taught social studies/history, summers was a professional canoe/kayak guide, instructor.

First enlistment: USAF as a Still Photographer Specialist. Duty stations; March AFB, as a photographer/lab technician trainee
Deployed to UBON RTAFB, Thailand in 1971. Flew backseat OV-10A Broncos as a Recon photographer, Along with other still/mopic photographers, documented the 16th SOS AC-130 Gunship Program, became the base paper (Phantom Flyer) photographer/Civic Action documentary photographer.
Break -in-service, entered USAR Reserves 1979 as a 96D, imagery analyst with the 229th MI Company, Mountain View, CA. Transferred to the 4th Psyop Company (Airborne) 1984 as an 96F Psychological Operations Specialist where I completed my military career.
