Bio
I grew up and attended public schools in Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended college for a little over a year, until I ran out of money. Then, I served on the USS Kitty Hawk from 1963-1965. After separation, I went back to school and got a BA in English and German and then an MA and a PhD in German. I worked at Eastern Washington University from 1975-1983 and at Purdue University from 1983-2010.
