Bio 

John enlisted in the US Army after completing High School in 1959. John received his undergraduate degree in math and physics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1974, and his Masters of Science in Nuclear Effects Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1981. John’s military assignments include: Army Nuclear Power Plant Operator; Special Weapons Maintenance Technician; Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Detachment Commander; Ammunition Plant Commander; and Military Research Associate (at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory). He had Staff Officer assignments at the: Office of the Project Manager for Nuclear Munitions; Office of Military Applications at Department of Energy; Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Program Analysis and Evaluation (OASDPA&E) and Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Atomic Energy (OATSD(AE)).
