Bio

Retired with no kids but an adopted grandson and currently 2 dogs. Still happily married to first husband for 36 years. TS was my highest clearance but has expired due to retirement. Love to travel and see the world. Enjoyed the bulk of my 27+ years in the Army, both active and reserve, and accomplished a lot in that time. My civilian job, just the opposite but it was a paycheck.

Military Experiences

Aug 2000 - Jan 2001
Retired
Civil Affairs Team Leader
I served in Pristina as the Liaison to the Department of Trade and Industry with the UN. Our mission was to help the country get back on its feet.
Jan 1999 - Nov 1999
Civil Affairs Environmental Engineer
Served on the CJCMTF, Combined Joint Civil Military Task Force, as the Environmental Engineer. Even though my background is as a Mechanical Engineer, the EE is different over there. My job was to assess and work to improve the country’s water supply, sewage systems, and landfill areas. This was perfect for me because my experience was in plumbing and HVAC systems. Not much HVAC experience went into play, but my water supply experience was essential to me working on and completing a project that had been on “the shelf” for over 5 years. Working with a Combined Joint team, we installed a potable water supply line to a small town near Sarajevo. It was an amazing experience.
