Army Security Agency 1965-69 MOS: 98G 4L80 - Vietnamese Voice Intercept Operator, Cryptographer, and Traffic Analyst – Top Secret/Crypto Security Clearance Defense Language Institute West Coast (Monterey CA) 1965-66 VN May66-May67 Low level work with Det 3 of the 3rd Radio Research Unit (the Lost Detachment) which became the 406th reassigned to the 8th RRU, then sent to the 330th RRC in Pleiku where worked as trick chief for mids. Saigon, Nha Trang, Phan Rang, Dak To, Tuy Hoa, Phuc My, Cam Ro Bay, Phu Bai, Pleiku, Phan Thiet, Kontum, and points betwixt and between. Served with 1st Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division, a combat reactionary unit, and in support of 25th and 4th Infantry Divisions. National Security Agency 1967-69 incl three-month TDY to Kadena AFB in Okinawa in 1968.
