Carrier AirWing Nine Log Chief
Directed the Aviation Supply Support for Carrier Air Wing-Nine (CVW-9) on-loads and off-loads during deployments of 9 squadrons on board the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74). Performed logistics management operations that involved planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission: this undertaking required the procurement of 12 common carrier tractor trailer for interstate transport of over 25,000 pounds of squadrons’ tools, support equipment, and personal gear; arranged for commercial transportation, bus services for personnel from approved carriers and prepared bills of lading and related documents. Prepared yearly budget estimates for the Air Wing in support of squadrons’ personnel uniforms, office and administrative supplies, amounting to over $1M annually, including funding exclusively for squadron personnel directly involved in launching and recovery of aircraft, re-outfitting pilots’ flight gear and equipment. Prepared variety of reports, ranging from financial obligation, and expenditures as required by higher authority, and maintained oversight to Material Control Officers and squadrons Operation Target (OPTAR) Managers, thus ensuring 100% funding utilization and accountability. Coordinated and evaluated the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules accordingly. Work required knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems; and the organizational functions involved in providing supply support. Analyzed and reported supply data, managed contingency and deployment planning to the Commodore and ensured logistic milestones were met prior to ship's deployment. Vast knowledge of the regulations, principles, and practices pertaining to readiness and mobilization and served on the committee as Configuration Manager for the validation of Aviation Consolidated Allowance List (AVCAL), Allowance Part List (APL), Allowance Equipage List (AEL), and the Maintenance Assist Module (MAMs) in preparation for the multiple Western Pacific deployments on board the USS John C. Stennis, CVN-74.
